The M2 Cavalry Fighting Vehicle (left photo) is a variant of the original M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicle, adapted for use by armored reconnaisance units of the U.S. Army. Two of the best known main battle tanks in the world today, the M1 Abrams of the U.S. and the T-72, fielded by Russian, East European and many other armies are pictured side by side in the center photo. On the right, U.S. Army air cavalry units equipped with the AH-64 "Apache"attack helicopter can deliver devastating firepower on stationary or moving ground targets with deadly accuracy.

British dragoon, hussar, and lancer units now make effective use of the Challenger tank (first two photos) and Scimitar armored reconaissance scout vehicle (second and third photos) seen here on patrol in Bosnia. The venerable M-113 (right photo) continues to serve Australian lancers quite well.
