WELCOME! This is an initial attempt by a rank amateur to create a site dedicated to the mounted soldiers of the past, present and future...
(It is also an attempt to become more familiar with web site design and management. Go ahead: laugh...snicker...jeer...just remember, *everyone* has a first time!)

I have always had a fascination with mounted warfare, both historical and contemporary as well as fictional. I had the pleasure to serve in and work with several armor and cavalry (as in armored reconnaissance) units in the U.S. Army.
For whatever it may be worth, I do not and will not attempt to sing the praises of the mounted soldier at the expense of other military professionals and branches. I believe all military units are at their best when working as a team. The mounted soldier has been and remains a vital member of the successful military team in warfare.
That said, I hope you will enjoy my pages. Charge on!
